We are in need of volunteers who can watch the children of the students in the Madras English Class during this Fall 2024. The class will take place 231 SE 6th St. Madras, OR 97741 from 6pm-7:30pm every Wednesday.
You would be:
- Taking care of children while their parents are in our English class
- We need your help for at least 10 weeks
- We ask that volunteers who help with childcare complete their background check prior to start working with children. We can help to fill out the paperwork for this process.
LCA would provide:
- Children's books in English and Spanish
- Coloring books and art supplies
- Classroom
We encourage interested volunteers to sign up in advance and complete a Darkness to Light training. We hope we can count with your support.
Necesitamos voluntarios quienes puedan ayudar a cuidar a los hijos de los estudiantes de la clase de inglés en Madras este otoño de 2024. La clase tomará lugar en 231 SE 6th St. Madras, OR 97741 cada miércoles de 6:00 p. m. a 7:30 p. m.
Estarias:
- Cuidando a los hijos de los estudiantes mientras ellos están en las clases de inglés
- Necesitamos su ayuda por lo menos 10 semanas
- Completar tu registro de antecedentes penales antes de empezar a trabajar con los niños. Nosotros podemos ayudar a llenar los formularios para este proceso.
LCA proveerá:
- Libros infantiles en inglés y español
- Libros para colorear y materiales de arte
- El lugar para cuidar a los niños
Animamos a los voluntarios interesados a que se registren con anticipación y completen un entrenamiento de La Oscuridad a la Luz (Darkness to Light) antes de convivir con los niños. Esperamos contar con tu apoyo.
