Join us in honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in a meaningful community service project!
On January 20th, we are organizing a volunteering event to redesign and arrange our storage in our Madras office. To take advantage of this space, we want to build shelves that we need to organize all the materials we keep in this space. In this storage we keep all the materials and decorations for our Latino Fest and other events. By organizing this space, we will create a more functional environment and easy to find what we need, and in this way we will take advantage of and use our time to serve our community.
We are planning on creating wooden shelves and we ask volunteers if the can bring their tools to help us with this project. We would need:
- Hammer
- Nails
- Screws
- Electric drill
- Measuring tape
- Square tool
- Saw, or any tool that you use to cut wood
- Wood, if you have any
All needed snacks will be provided. Everyone is welcomed. Bring your friends and family for a day of teamwork, mutual support, and giving back.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on our local community and contribute to the success of an important organization that serves to empower Latino families in Central Oregon. Let’s come together and spread kindness on MLK Serve Day.

¡Únase a nosotros para honrar el legado de Martin Luther King Jr. participando en un proyecto de servicio comunitario significativo!
El 20 de enero organizaremos un evento de voluntariado para rediseñar y organizar nuestro almacenamiento en nuestra oficina de Madras. Para aprovechar este espacio queremos construir estanterías que necesitemos para organizar todos los materiales que guardemos en este espacio. En este depósito guardamos todos los materiales y decoraciones para nuestro Latino Fest y otros eventos. Al organizar este espacio, crearemos un entorno más funcional con mas facilidad de encontrar lo que necesitemos, y de esta manera aprovecharemos y utilizaremos nuestro tiempo para servir a nuestra comunidad.
Estamos planeando crear estantes de madera y les pedimos a los voluntarios si pueden traer sus herramientas para ayudarnos con este proyecto. Necesitaríamos:
- Martillos
- Clavos
- Tornillos
- Taladro eléctrico
- Cinta métrica
- Escuadra
- Sierra o cualquier herramienta que utilices para cortar madera
- Madera, si tiene
Se proporcionarán todos los refrigerios necesarios. Todos son bienvenidos. Traiga a sus amigos y familiares a un día de trabajo en equipo, apoyo mutuo y retribución.
Esta es una oportunidad fantástica para generar un impacto positivo en nuestra comunidad y contribuir al éxito de una organización importante que sirve para empoderar a las familias latinas en el Centro de Oregon. Unámonos y difundamos la bondad en el Día de Servicio en honor a MLK.
