We’re excited to share that LCA is launching monthly volunteer orientations to make it easier than ever to get involved and stay connected!

Our first virtual Volunteer Orientation of the year will take place on February 23 from 12:00–1:00 PM. Additional virtual orientations are scheduled for March 23 and April 27, also from 12:00–1:00 PM.

These sessions are open to new volunteers as well as returning or recurring volunteers who would like a refresher or want to learn more about LCA’s work.

This committee will help expand fundraising efforts, build relationships with donors, and secure
financial support for LCA. Each role has defined responsibilities to ensure effective
collaboration. LCA Executive Director, Catalina Sanchez Frank, will support this committee as

Sponsorship Lead
● Identifies, researches, and reaches out to potential business sponsors.
● Assists in drafting sponsorship materials and proposals.
● Helps secure sponsorships for LCA events.

Amigos Membership Lead
● Support LCA Leadership in the recruitment of 2,500 individuals to donate $25 monthly in
celebration of LCA’s 25th anniversary
● Promote and grow the Amigos Membership program
● Alongside Sponsorship Lead, develop strategies to increase business sponsorships and
engagement
● Help cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors to strengthen long-term support

Events Lead
● Plans and coordinates donor appreciation events and fundraising events.
● Works with the Sponsorship Lead to secure event sponsors.
● Helps with event logistics, invitations, and follow-up.

Marketing Lead
● Develop marketing materials for elements of LCA fundraising efforts - sponsorship
applications, Amigos Membership applications, info packets about LCA programs,
Year-End Impact Reports.
● Supports the promotion of fundraising campaigns in, collaboration with LCA
Communications Team, through social media, newsletters, and community outreach.
● Works with the LCA Leadership Team to ensure consistent messaging.

Grant Support
● Assists the Development Manager in researching potential grant opportunities.
● Helps draft portions of grant proposals, particularly in areas of need identification.

General Fundraising Committee Members
● Support various fundraising activities as needed.
● Assist with outreach, event setup, and donor stewardship.
● Participate in donor calls, thank-you letter writing, and fundraising campaigns.

Overview:
Latino Community Association (LCA) is seeking a Spanish-speaking volunteer to support community members who are learning how to drive. This role focuses on providing basic driving instruction and confidence-building support to individuals who may be new drivers or preparing to obtain a driver’s license. The volunteer will play an important role in helping participants gain practical skills that increase independence, safety, and access to employment and services.

Responsibilities:

Provide basic driving instruction in Spanish, including vehicle operation, traffic laws, and safe driving practices

Support learners in building confidence behind the wheel in a calm and respectful manner

Review driving-related questions and help participants prepare for driving tests as appropriate

Maintain clear communication with LCA staff regarding scheduling and participant progress

Follow all safety guidelines and program expectations

Qualifications & Skills:

Fluent in Spanish

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices

Patience, reliability, and strong communication skills

Experience teaching, mentoring, or coaching is highly desirable

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow LCA policies

Additional Requirements:

Must pass LCA’s volunteer screening process

Access to a reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance (if using personal vehicle)

Overview:
Latino Community Association (LCA) is seeking a Spanish-speaking volunteer to support community members who are learning how to drive. This role focuses on providing basic driving instruction and confidence-building support to individuals who may be new drivers or preparing to obtain a driver’s license. The volunteer will play an important role in helping participants gain practical skills that increase independence, safety, and access to employment and services.

Responsibilities:

Provide basic driving instruction in Spanish, including vehicle operation, traffic laws, and safe driving practices

Support learners in building confidence behind the wheel in a calm and respectful manner

Review driving-related questions and help participants prepare for driving tests as appropriate

Maintain clear communication with LCA staff regarding scheduling and participant progress

Follow all safety guidelines and program expectations

Qualifications & Skills:

Fluent in Spanish

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices

Patience, reliability, and strong communication skills

Experience teaching, mentoring, or coaching is highly desirable

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow LCA policies

Additional Requirements:

Must pass LCA’s volunteer screening process

Access to a reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance (if using personal vehicle)
