Volunteer: Board of Directors ~ Mesa DirectivaWe are seeking committed, self-motivated individuals to join our board of directors. We ask that board members be willing to serve for a minimum of three years. Our board members help provide overall direction for the organization, prioritize our services and make policy decisions about significant changes to our direction and focus. You are asked to utilize your social and professional networks to make people aware of LCA's work and how they can get involved to support our mission through volunteering, partnering and/or donating. Finally, board members keep an eye on our finances and make sure we have the resources we need to carry out our plans and reach our service goals all within the laws that govern our work. Our board currently meets a minimum of four times a year. Board members are asked to support one of our committees in between board meetings. Our committees include: Governance, Finance, Fundraising, Events and Advocacy. The time commitment is typically 5-6 hours each quarter, or 2-3 hours per month. There is nor set amount our board members are asked to donate to the organization, but we do ask every board member to make a financial contribution that is meaningful to him or her.
